Various Training Programs from Organization Development Centre (ODC)
Organisation Development Centre (ODC) has been providing competency and skill development support to organizations and individuals working in the Development Sector for over ten years. As part of our effort in developing skills and attitude, we schedule many In-House Training Programmes on a regular basis. The following upcoming programmes offered by ODC, which we hope staff members of your esteem organisation would find beneficial.
| SUPPORT STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (SSDP) 5 Days | March 3-7, 2008 |
| Objectives: The programme is aimed at preparing support staff members of the organisation to develop an understanding of their organisation, their contribution to its performance. It also enables participants to recognize the important role other members of staff play in the organisation and that all the staff members together make important contributions to ensure that the organisation performs well. They are also enabled to develop self-confidence and to take positive initiative in the performance of their duties. The programme also seeks to prepare participants to develop an understanding of work ethics and the importance of maintaining self-discipline in the organisation.

| NGO DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT TRAINING7 Days ( 5 days’ workshop + 2 days’ follow up session) | March 17-21, 2008 |
| Objective: To develop an understanding on the framework in which NGOs operate their role and how they form, operate, and respond to internal and external environments. It also aims to enable participants to develop knowledge and technical skills related to organisational management, HRD, communication and reporting, documentation, proposal and report writing together with behavioral skills. Target group: Senior and middle managers of NGOs and staff who have started NGOs and/or manage their own NGOs, and staff of development agencies directly working with their partner NGOs in strengthening them.

| HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TRAINING (HRMT) 5 Days | April 7-11, 2008 |
| Objectives: To broaden the human resource management perspectives of participants through sharing of concepts, best practices and processes of HRM. Specifically the programme includes aspects of HR in terms of recruitment, maintenance, development and termination. Target Group: Human Resource Practitioners of development, service and corporate sector organisations as well as individuals responsible for HR functions in their organisations.

| PROJECT FORMULATION USING LOGICAL FRAMEWORK (LFA) 7 Days ( 5 days’ workshop + 2 days’ follow up session) | April 21-25, 2008 |
| Objective: To enable participants to develop capacity to use LFA in planning, and Monitoring & Evaluation of the projects. Target Group: Project/programme managers, coordinators and other professionals managing one or more projects, or involved in programme formulation, implementation and monitoring, and managers and other staff of partner agencies (e.g. Government/NGOs) who are managing projects/programmes.

| SUPERVISORY COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (SCDP)5 Days | May 5-9, 2008 |
| Objectives: To assist participants to develop organisational understanding including individual behaviour and its implications at the workplace, communication, interpersonal relations and basic team building skills, together with supervisory and leadership skills in order to enhance their performance. It is also aimed at helping participants develop technical skills that will help to improve general administrative duties such as filing general office procedures, systems and communication. Target Group: First-line supervisors, secretaries, clerks, office/administrative and account assistants, receptionists, storekeepers, junior field coordinators and facilitators, counter/ sales personnel and others.

| ADVANCED EXECUTIVE LEARNING PROGRAMME (AELP)5 Days | May 26-30, 2008 |
| Objectives: To assist senior managers to lead and manage their organisations effectively under uncertainty and help organisations to exist in a state of readiness to respond robustly and proactively to the rapid changes in the environment. AELP takes a new and pragmatic look at steering organisations out of crises by assisting managers to prepare their organisations through realistic but highly effective scenario planning. This programme also aims at accelerating the development of the human and organisational leadership competencies of senior managers so that they can achieve managerial excellence. Target Group: Senior Managers and Organisational Leader
